Megan Thee Stallion has set a return date to Broadway after her recent hospitalization.
The singer, who was hospitalized on Tuesday evening, revealed that she will be back onstage as the nightclub owner Zidler for *Moulin Rouge! The Musical *on Thursday evening. She told fans on Instagram that after overextending herself, the hard work, and exhaustion caught up to her.
"Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough," she began. "It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t. Hotties I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting yall down 🥺."

She continued, "I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been..I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve." The artist signed off her update thanking her fans for "always riding with me and loving me through everything."
A spokesperson for Megan Thee Stallion confirmed what led to her hospitalization in a statement shared with **.
“On Tuesday evening, Megan was transported to a local hospital to undergo a medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms," the statement read. "Doctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. Megan has since been treated, discharged and is now resting."****The statement continued, "Megan is incredibly grateful for the prayers and well-wishes from her supporters and is looking forward to resuming her role as Zidler in *Moulin Rouge! The Musical *on Thursday.”

The three-time Grammy winner made her broadway debut with *Moulin Rouge! The Musical* on March 24 at the the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York. On March 31, Megan performed in the opening scenes of the show before she left suddenly and was taken to the hospital.
"During Tuesday night's production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated," a spokesperson told * *at the time. "We will share additional updates as more information becomes available."

According to fans who attended Tuesday evening's performance, audience members were told about Megan's exit and were asked to remain in their seats.
Megan is slated to play Zidler, who was portrayed by Jim Broadbent in the 2001 Baz Luhrmann movie, through May 17.
