The “Bittersweet” singer, 27, and the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, 28, announced the happy news in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, July 28.

“Meet my fiancé,” Beer wrote in the caption, alongside a series of photos and clips of the romantic outdoor proposal. One photo captures the NFL star down on one knee in front of the musician under an arbor covered with greenery and flowers. Another captures Herbert carrying his fiancée over his shoulder as she held up her hand to show off her glittering engagement ring.

More photos show the newly engaged couple kissing, dancing and smiling at each other. The carousel also includes a shot of a rustic wooden sign that reads, “Mr. and Mrs. Herbert.”

The couple initially sparked romance rumors in August 2025, when Herbert was seen hanging out with Beer at a photo shoot. They were photographed walking in Los Angeles later that same month.

On Oct. 5, the two were spotted kissing on the sidelines of Herbert’s team’s game against the Washington Commanders at SoFi Stadium in L.A.

Last month, Beer opened up about their romance during an appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, revealing that the athlete came into her life “at the perfect time.”

“When I’m having a convo with my boyfriend, my hair could be on fire, and I wouldn’t notice,” she told Shane. “And to be honest with you, he’s the first person I’ve ever felt that way about. Like, the world could be ending around me, and I wouldn’t realize.”

“It’s just so mature,” she continued of their relationship. “He came into my life at the perfect time. Our first date was literally at my house because we were scared to go in public.”

When Beer turned 27 on March 5, Herbert shared a sweet birthday tribute on Instagram Stories, gushing about the “Make You Mine” singer’s impact on his life.

“Happy birthday to my favorite person of all time,” he wrote over a photo of Beer giving him a kiss on the sidelines before a Chargers game. “I love you so much. You’ve changed my life forever 🤍.”

Just days later, on March 10, Beer returned the love on Herbert’s birthday with a series of Instagram Stories posts.

“happy birthday baby boy,” she wrote over a nighttime video of Herbert with his name tagged underneath.

A second post, set to “Hold Me Now” by the Thompson Twins, showed Herbert holding Beer in a shot taken from a distance of the couple spending time together on a soccer field.

“I am so lucky to be yours,” she wrote under a pink heart emoji, adding, “you are my dream come true.”

Prior to dating Herbert, Beer told Cosmopolitanin April 2025that she considered herself a relationship person.

“I love people. I meet someone, I love them,” she said at the time. “I’m like, ‘Okay, I’m never letting you go. You’ll be with me forever until you hurt me.’ That’s the deal.”

She continued, “I think I also, because I have such a weird life and never feel safe and comfortable with someone, when I cross that line of ‘you’re my boyfriend,’ it feels really big.”
