Musician and record producer Labrinth is offering insight into where things went wrong in his relationship with the TV series "Euphoria."

After serving as the primary composer for the first two seasons of HBO's hit teen drama since 2019, the 37-year-old British singer and rapper's music will not be featured in the third season.

"People will comfortably lie in this industry and still call themselves honest people," he wrote on his Instagram story April 11. "So no cap. I decided to remove whatever music I had in it."

Labrinth revealed that he has spoken to officials at HBO and said, "As far as I know, we are cool."

Labrinth performs at the Mojave Tent during the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 22, 2023, in Indio, California.

"I left because — Last truth: When I work for someone, their vision is paramount to me, but I don’t let people treat me like [expletive]," he wrote.

USA TODAY has reached out to HBO representatives for comment.

"[Screw] Columbia. Double [screw] 'Euphoria,'" the statement continued. "I'm out. Thank you and goodnight."

Labrinth, whose real name is Timothy Lee McKenzie, rose to fame in the mid-2010s and landed his first certified platinum in the U.K. with his 2014 single "Jealous." In 2018, he joined DJ Diplo and singer Sia to form the group LSD. He has three Grammy nominations, including album of the year in 2016 for his work on The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind The Madness."
