Jared Leto has addressed the multiple sexual assault allegations made by 10 women in a BBC documentary.
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” the actor and musician said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
One woman claimed that Leto had sex with her when she was 17 in California, which would count as statutory rape per state laws.

“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” Leto said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly. “These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
On Wednesday, the BBC published a report outlining new claims of sexual assault against the Oscar-winning actor and 30 Seconds to Mars frontman, which also appear in a new documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret.
The allegations range from a woman who said Leto signed an autograph over her breasts when she was only 14 years old and commented that she had a “nice rack,” while another claimed that Leto had sex with her when she was 17 in California, where the age of consent is 18 (under state law, this would constitute statutory rape.)

“He told me, ‘I would like you to call me daddy’. And it was either pretend to be a little girl or ‘my little girl’,” said a woman identified by the BBC as Clara, referencing the allegation involving alleged statutory rape in California.
Another woman said she didn’t “think there was many words exchanged and he opened the shower curtain and started kissing me” inside a motel room, with the BBC further reporting that she alleged, “[Leto] then grabbed her hand and used it to masturbate himself.”
One woman, identified as Clara, told the BBC that she felt she was “so naive and vulnerable” at age 17, when she first met Leto in 2006, when he was in his 30s.

Clara alleged that she had sex with Leto, and recalled a conversation with the actor about the age of consent in California. Still, according to her, “[Leto] just kind of shrugged it off, like it wasn’t a huge concern for him.”
The documentary also includes allegations from two of Leto’s former staffers, who claimed to the BBC that they were left feeling uncomfortable after working with Leto, alleging that the entertainer would frequently interact with teenage girls in their presence.
“I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big,” one of Leto’s former staffers told the outlet. One of the men, identified by the BBC as Brad, said he witnessed Leto request that his team call local modeling agencies and offer free 30 Seconds to Mars show tickets to female models.

Leto, who won an Oscar for his role in 2013’s Dallas Buyers Club, has been accused of sexual misconduct in the past.
In 2025, nine women accused Leto in an Air Mail report of engaging in behavior that was, according to one, “predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.” At the time, a representative for Leto told the publication that the actor “expressly denied” the accusations, calling the allegations “demonstrably false.”
