Awards season is upon us, as the nominees for the 83rd annual Golden Globes will be revealed on the morning of Monday, Dec. 8. All 28 categories will be announced at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT on CBSNews.com. 11 exclusive film and TV categories will also be announced in a live televised event at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT on “CBS Mornings.” Actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall will read the nominations.

Viewers can also stream the announcements live on CBS News’ YouTube and TikTok channels and shortly thereafter across the Golden Globes social media accounts. A full list of nominees will also be available on the Golden Globes website immediately after the live announcements.

The 83rd annual Golden Globes ceremony will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. The ceremony will take place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. Actress and comedian Nikki Glaser will host for the second year in a row.

This year’s film race is expected to be fierce, with esteemed titles like “One Battle After Another,” “Wicked: For Good,” “Marty Supreme” and “Wake Up Dead Man” all bidding for best picture nominations in the musical/comedy category. Best drama, meanwhile, will see the likes of “Sinners,” “Frankenstein” and “Hamnet” vying for nominations.

Actors contending for spots on the ticket include Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Brendan Fraser, Ethan Hawke, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Colin Farrell, Paul Mescal, Adam Sandler, Sean Penn and more, while potential actresses include Emma Stone, Cynthia Erivo, Kate Hudson, Jessie Buckley, Laura Dern, Jennifer Lawrence, Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Emily Blunt, Elle Fanning, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ariana Grande, Teyana Taylor and Tessa Thompson in their respective categories.

The directors race could also be highly competitive, with eligible names including Paul Thomas Anderson, Ryan Coogler, Park Chan-wook, Chloé Zhao and Joachim Trier.
