We're all in this together — except for one *High School Musical* star, apparently.
Bart Johnson, who played Coach Bolton in all three Disney movie musicals, revealed that one former *High School Musical *star has refused to come on his rewatch podcast about the film franchise. And he was quick to add that the cast member in question is not his onscreen son Zac Efron.
"EVERY cast member has been invited to be on the podcast. Almost got everyone!!" Johnson wrote in a series of posts on X Thursday that have since been deleted. "3 are trying hard to make their schedule work and only ONE cast member said, 'No. I've talked about this movie for 20 years and I'm done talking about it.' It wasn’t Zac."
In another post, Johnson revealed that Efron is "trying" to schedule a time to appear on the podcast, "but his schedule [is] BUSY."
On Friday, Johnson wrote a lengthier statement on X to "clear up" what he originally had posted the day prior about his *Get Your Head in the Game *podcast*.*

"My goal was to get ALL the actors, dancers, singers and filmmakers. ALL of them!!" Johnson explained. "I’ve been overwhelmed, touched, and so grateful for everyone’s effort to come on and share some of their favorite memories, private things they’ve never shared before, and how much the franchise and the fans mean to them."
Johnson went on to praise everyone who has made an appearance on the podcast so far, especially Vanessa Hudgens.**** "Vanessa even made time right before she gave birth to her new little baby!!" he said. "It’s been remarkable and beautiful, and I’m so grateful for everyone. A few cast members are working out of the country, juggling schedules, and doing their best to make it happen. Shooting schedules can be so demanding and the unpredictable hours get LONG. Again, everyone has been invited and almost everyone has already been a guest on the podcast. It’s been the best reunion I could have ever hoped for."
But Johnson once again confirmed that one cast member refused to come on the podcast. However, he's still holding out hope they'll change their mind in the future.

"Yes, one cast member did say, 'No. I’ve been talking about this film for 20 years and I’m done talking about it.' I didn’t take it personally at all — and nobody else should either!" Johnson wrote. "I actually thought it was hilarious, and I can guarantee you I’ll eventually get this person on the podcast. We’ll talk about it, have a good laugh. Promise!!"
Johnson made it clear that there's no bad blood with this unnamed person (who isn't Efron), and he understands why they said no.
"It’s all good. We’re all human, and we’re all entitled to feeling tired of the same old stuff sometimes," he added. "I don’t take it personally, and neither should you... The cast has all been interviewed to death over the last two decades. We were all in it together since day one and took this ride together and the idea was to give a different, more personal and insightful take on everyone’s experiences making the movies and being a part of this very special franchise. I hope that’s what we have been able to do with this podcast."
