Bruce Campbell shared an update on his cancer journey months after announcing his diagnosis.
āItās a bit of a whack-a-mole life that I have to get used to,ā the actor said on Tuesdayās episode of the Inside of You podcast.
He added that he is ādoing as well as you can do for having cancer.ā

āI think Iām doing as well as you can do for having cancer,ā the actor began on Tuesdayās episode of the Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum podcast. āI go through most of my day not thinking that I have any cancer. Itās a bit of a whack-a-mole life that I have to get used to.ā
Campbell joked that during the āearly monthsā of his illness, there was a lot of ābadā information thrown at him.
āFor breakfast, weād have a s--- sandwich with a side of what the f---,ā he quipped. āThat was a couple month period where the information would come in all of itās cryptic or bad or whatever.ā
Campbell continued, āItās a lot of schooling I didnāt want to go to. Itās a lot of meetings I didnāt want to go to.ā

The Burn Noticealum told listeners that cancer meetings were āthe most boring of all and time consuming.ā He said āyou have to show upā because of the scans.
āThe clinical phrase that ā I love these phrases ā itās treatable, not curable,ā Campbell added. āItāll be something that will be with me until I croak, which, with treatment, is earlier than you want to croak.ā
Campbellās plan is to ādo treatment that I can deal with and that worksā as of now.
āBut your bodyās pretty smart, apparently,ā he said. āIf your body wants to kill you, itāll f---ing kill you.ā

Campbell took to social media in March to announce his cancer diagnosis.
āThese days, when someone is having a health issue, itās referred to as an āopportunity,ā so letās go with that ā Iām having one of those,ā he shared via X at the time. āItās also called a type of cancer thatās ātreatableā not ācurable.ā I apologize if thatās a shock ā it was to me too.ā
The actor said he wasnāt going to āgo into any more detailā but was posting because āprofessionallyā things were changing.
āFear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch and I have great support, so I expect to be around a while,ā the announcement concluded. āAs always, youāre the greatest fans in the world and I hope to see you soon!ā

During Tuesdayās podcast episode, Campbell said he has ātons of hopeā about his future. The actor also shared that the cancer has given him a different perspective about life.
āIf you want to get your financial house in order from A to Z, get cancer. If you want to rekindle with friends and family that you havenāt talked to in decades, get cancer,ā he said. āIf you want to refocus your life, laser focus only on the things that bring you joy and remove the drudgery from your life forever, get cancer.ā
